Duplication Savings: Coding duplication occurs when a manufacturer’s part number has been assigned to two different client part numbers. This can happen by error, by choice or when companies acquire other companies. Duplication often results in a company paying more than it should for a component; they have a better price for one of their part numbers but a higher price for the others.
